Service Technician

Oakland, CA

We are opening a new Ford dealership on Oakland's Auto Row in Uptown Oakland seeking qualified individuals for open Automotive Technician Positions. Service Technician is responsible for identifying necessary vehicle service and performing the repair, service, and/or maintenance work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Examines customer and dealership vehicles.

- Identifies necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance.

- Maintains Customer Satisfaction Scores at or above company standards.

- Performs vehicle repairs and maintenance.

- Documents services performed in writing.

- Performs services efficiently and according to dealership guidelines.

- Follows dealership and manufacturer service guidelines.

- Completes required online and in person training.

- Requests necessary parts.

- Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.

Technician Qualifications:

- ASE certifications, smog certified, and/or automotive technician education a plus

- Experience in general maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of domestic vehicles a plus, although we are willing to train the right motivated individuals

- Good communication skills

- A high level of motivation and demonstrated ability to learn and succeed.

- Valid driver's license with good driving record

- Submit to and successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
